Popular Questions

These are some of the more popular questions concerning solar.

Solar panels can reduce your electricity bills for your residential or commercial propery, increase your property’s value, decrease your carbon footprint, and provide energy independence.

The cost can vary based on variables such as the size of your system, where you’re located, and the choices you make concerning the brand and quality of panels, inverters, and whether you include batteries. Typically, a price of a system is determined by its components.  Get with one of our energy consultants about your options for solar and we’ll be able to give you a clearer idea of the costs.

Yes, many states and the federal government offer STC rebates, and other incentives to help offset the cost of installation.  Each year, this incentive decreases in value.

No, options include leasing, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and financing, which allow for little to no upfront cost.

Most solar panels come with a warranty of 25 years, but they can last 30 years or more with proper maintenance.

Yes, solar panels can still produce energy on cloudy days, although at reduced efficiency. They also generate energy from indirect sunlight.

Solar panels require minimal maintenance, primarily keeping them clean and ensuring that trees or debris don’t obstruct sunlight.

Many utility companies offer net metering, allowing you to sell excess energy back to the grid, often credited to your bill.  Or you can store any excess power back in to your battery so you are able to use it when no solar power can be generated.

To be able to receive Government Incentives, solar systems will need to be installed by a qualified electrician who has gone through solar training and who have been qualified by the SAA.  This is to ensure proper installation is completed according to  government compliance and regulations.

Consider your energy needs, budget, roof size, and orientation. Consulting with us so we can help you determine the best system for your situation.

Look for experience, customer reviews, warranties offered, the products offered and the range of services provided.  Verify their licenses and certifications.  If you want a system that will last the distance, the products you select are important.
